The Step Into The Void – 3842 Meters High In The French Alps

The Chamonix Skywalk in the French Alps is the ultimate challenge for those who are afraid of heights. The glass structure is installed on a terrace at the top of the Aiguille du Midi mountain peak above Chamonix.

It took 3 years to create the highest attraction in Europe designed by Pierre-Yves Chays. The glass cage is named ‘Pas dans le Vide’ (in translation Step into the Void).

The builders say that is perfectly safe, but knowing that won’t prevent your knees from wobbling.

Either way you are in for an ultimate rush under the impression of walking on thin air with 1,035 meters of space under your feet.

The platform is open to the public since late December 2013. All you need to enjoy the breathtaking view from Europe’s highest mountain Mount Blanc is 55 Euros and a whole lot of courage.

Are you brave enough to take a step into the void?
