Welcome to your insider`s travel guide to Barcelona.
I would like to start by pointing out Barcelona as one of the greatest architectural treasures of our world. 2000-plus years of rich history painted throughout the city in the form of subterranean stone corridors (dating all the way back to the Roman era), Gothic quarters, plazas, and 14th-century cathedrals. In other parts, the city shows a completely different modernistic side with world famous masterpieces by Gaudí and his Catalan architectural generation.
This city has inspired some of the greatest artistic minds in our history including Picasso, Dalí and Miró.
Besides its reputation as a architectural marble, Barcelona is known for its tradition of Catalan cuisine and the great masters of molecular gastronomy like Carles Abellan et al and Albert Adrià. You can easily find a good outdoor restaurant table with beautiful view and great food.
The nights in Barcelona are a completely new story with endless possibility. From sunset drinks on some gorgeous panoramic table to live music in the rhythms of flamenco, old-school taverns and indie-rock concerts… this city has it all.
We must not forget the sea and the sun-drenched beaches perfect for anything like taking a simple stroll or bike ride to kayaking or a sunset cruise.
