The most recognizable city in Austria is known for its unique mixture of imperialistic tradition and contemporary architecture. Apart from being regarded as the City of Music (the birthplace of Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms…) it is also known as “The City of Dreams” because it was a home to the world`s famous Sigmund Freud.
Even today Vienna is still an epicenter for cultural events, (ranked 1st globally for cultural innovation in 2007 and 2008) and it hasn’t lost a bit of its unique charm.
Just last year Vienna celebrated 150 years from the birth of its famous artist Gustav Klimt, who painted “The Kiss”, one of Vienna`s most celebrated art piece. He, as well as Joseph Hoffman, Egon Schiele, and Oskar Kokoška are “responsible” for shaping a century of Wien`s culture like no one before. Many museums and art galleries have celebrated this special occasion.
