Pearl Islands, Panama
This island was good enough for the Shah of Iran to spend his exile here, so it should be good enough for you.
The Pearl Islands are located around 20 miles west from Panama in the Pacific Ocean. The good news is that many of the islands are still uninhabited so you can “claim one” for yourself and live rent free. That`s right travelers we used the words rent free. Or you can choose to mix with people and rent something nicer near the beach for $10 per day.
Here is a fun fact: 40 years ago the only residents of these islands were pirates trying to lay low for a while. Since then, even they have moved up and build a number of expensive resorts so there are still plenty of secluded beaches left to choose from.
It`s hard to imagine but even in paradise things can get bored so feel free to try some pearl hunting and maybe you can earn some extra cash. After all you are on the Pearl Islands.
P.S. If you have seen the show Survivor than you probably know what to expect. After all they shot three seasons here.
