Null Shtern, now one of the most famous hotels in Switzerland just broke every stereotype about fancy hotels. This hotel has no doors, no ceiling, no walls… but it has the most breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps. The idea was to get rid of everything so nothing would stand between the visitor and his experience. There is no doubt that this hotel has one of the most unique designs ever… if you can put it that way. The hotel`s name translates to “Zero Stars” but who cares because you`ll get a billion stars above you!
The hotel is located in the heart of the Swiss Alps, 6.463 feet above sea level. The “room” cost $210 per night.
The land around the bed had to be flattened so the construction crew could install it.
As you can see the “room” has only one queen size bed with a couple of bedside tables and lamps. So far the only thing I don`t like is the public bathroom, which is a five-minute walk away but hey, you can always improvise.
I guess it’s pretty awesome when the entire Switzerland`s great outdoors become your hotel.
