In the 19th century, long before the Paris Metro there was the ‘Chemin de fer de Petite Ceinture’, also known as the “little belt railway”.
Unfortunately, somewhere in the 1930`s the railway started to decline and by 1985 it was completely shut down. Since all of the 30km tracks were left unused and isolated by the ancient walls nature started to reclaim the space.
