3. Casa Batlló
Casa Batllo, the building often described as underwater cave, is a 20th century Gaudi’s example of modernism. He designed the building for the rich aristocrat J. Batllo. It’s got an unusual façade with colors and shapes found in marine life so it is believed that Gaudi was probably inspired by Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. The interior is even more impressive, showing how much attention Gaudi paid to every little detail.
