Pyramid of Giza, Egypt
Placed on the list of the seven wonders of the ancient world, The Great Pyramid of Giza was the tallest man made structure in the world for 3800 years , which is a true testament to its architectural strength and knowledge. Many experts believe that the pyramid was built as a final resting place for the great Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu.
There are more than 2 million limestone blocks integrated in this massive structure in a period just under 30 years. Inside there are three known chambers. The Queen’s Chamber and King’s Chamber are positioned higher up and a lowest chamber which was left unfinished. Right by its side there are three smaller pyramids which are believed to hold the Pharaoh’s queens. Today they stand together undefeated by time or man as a living testament to Egypt’s great power and wealth.
