The Wide Multicolored Horizon of Holland
Holland is famous for its astonishing tulip fields, coloring the country in picturesque colors of red, yellow, blue, pink… Some of the most amazing tulip areas lay between the cities Leiden and Den Helder in the western Holland and others are placed near Flevoland and Enkhuizen. You’d think that they have come out of a children’s booklet.
The best way to enjoy in the views of the multicolored landscape is to grab a bike or just have a walk around. The flowers became extremely popular during the Dutch Golden Age in the seventeenth century, although they were first imported in the country in the sixteenth century. Every year from March to August, tens of thousands tourists come to Holland to see the billions of tulips.
