If you think about it, after a couple of drinks in a bar and many conversations later some of the greatest artist, politicians, writers and revolutionaries started something that changed the course of our history. Maybe that`s why history bars are fun, they are like time machines were you can have a drink sitting on the same bar stool where Ernest Hemmingway or Lord Byron once sat.
Here are 9 coolest historic bars in the world:
1. The Green Dragon Tavern – Boston, US
According to its owners this bar played a crucial role in the War of Independence. It was here were the revolution began, were plans were made for the invasion of Concorde and Lexington. I`m not sure that this is true but Paul Revere was a regular guest here back in the days. Another famous patron here was John Hancock, in fact his brother lived next door.
Today the Green Dragon Tavern is one of the most popular bars in Boston and a great place for drinks and live music.
