A century ago the Arctic glaciers were one of nature`s undiscovered and mysterious wonders. But, unfortunately, after years of abuse, research, exploitation, these wonders have turned into a sad testament to the devastating consequences of climate changes.
A Swedish photojournalist who works for Greenpeace by the name of Christian Åslund, gathered a collection of old photos of glaciers in Svalbard from the Norwegian Polar Institute and compared them to his own photos taken 4 years ago in the same location. The difference is shocking!
Now, Christian is using this photo series to promote a National Geographic campaign, titled #MyClimateAction, as a protest against Norwegian oil companies and encourage discussions about climate changes.
