The ancient city of Hoi An is located down the Thu Bon River, on the central coast of Vietnam and its well known for its serenity and gorgeous scenery. Although the city is famous for its bright color walls that decorate the traditional neighborhood, Hoi An also has unbelievably beautiful beaches and picture perfect rice fields that are separated with small country roads, perfect for hiking and riding bicycles.
The Ancient Town of Hoi An located in Minh An Ward, is a perfect example of a harmonious blend between Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese cultures. All the buildings are built using only traditional materials like wood and brick. The site covers an area of 2 square kilometers and almost all significant relics are gathered here.
Just a few kilometers outside the city is another hidden gem, the small village of Tra Que, home to couple of hundreds of residents which main occupation is agriculture.
