Although not as famous as the Seven World Wonders, the following places are equally worth mentioning because of their outstanding and unique features.
10. Banaue Rice Terraces, Philippines
Banaue Rice Terraces are said to be the 8th wonder of the world. Around 2000 years ago, the ancestors of Filipinos worked really hard to build these terraces in the mountains of Ifugao mostly by hand, hardly using any tools. Banaue Rice Terraces are spreading over an incredibly large area of 10,360km2, 1500 meters above the sea level.
Even today, Filipinos grow rice and vegetables on the terraces and use the irrigation system from the rainforests above the terraces.
